Reminds me of the story where they poured beach over organic vegetables.
Lets hope the government in Michigan is not going to get away with it.

That's awful. They want us all eating crap food because "You are what you eat". Reminds me of how the UK government released foot and mouth over here to force a cull and push our farmers into a choice of either going bankrupt or accepting the grants to grow nothing on their land.

The international industrialists don't just want a monopoly, they want us fed on the lowest quality, chemical ridden filth that they can get away with because they know 'you are what you eat'.

When I was in High School (Germany) there was a big propaganda PRO Genetically Altered Food.
The teacher told us that they were only to improve the plant so they would not have to use
pesticides any more and also that it was completely harmless to people. At that point they did not
even have long term studies about this subject.

I really hope people stop this attempt to shut down family farms!
Will see if there is a petition we can sign...

We got the same stuff in the UK. I did A Level Biology so we covered it as part of genetics and it was sold as a great leap forward in science that would mean crops being grown in areas that otherwise weren't capable of sustaining farming. That's the main problem with science, they tend to have a very single minded view of the world. If a potential solution can exist then they want to be the one that does it and get their awards, without thinking about the wider impact. This means they just stick to the wonder stories of what could be.

I don't think there'll be a petition. The guy in the video said he doesn't think they'll help, they just need funding to fight the lobby/pressure group.

If there were real terrorists in the world they'd knock out the TV for a month. Force people to actually talk to eachother, think for themselves and start asking questions. Then things would really change.

The Michigan Right to Farm Act is supposed to protect people's ability to grow their own food, but who knows what amendments may have been placed in it to open it for any interpretation to shut someone down. http://legislature.mi.gov/documents/mcl/pdf/mcl-Act-93-of-1981.pdf

It looks like they're using a back door way of doing it by re-classifying what 'Feral' means and basing it on physical features rather than any traditonal meaning. Traditionally it just means 'fending for itself', so technically, all free range animals are feral, but not if they're fed by the owner which these are. The implications are massive if it gets put through. If they can reclassify it to specific breed traits then not only does it threaten free range by the back door but it can also then be used to wipe out entire breeds leaving only specific authorised ones available. Monsanto anyone?

It shows how desparate they are though, which I think is a positive thing.
