I have no answer for you as far as the sticky part. But Greenpeace is just another part of the PTB that makes people think some good is being served in the world when its mostly just self serving.
another example the 'idea' is nice but the execution is another matter...

I don't like the way our EARTH MATTERS section is being over run by Greenpeace. It deserves a separate space of its own.IMO.

When you sticky/endorse something without a disclaimer the message is very clear, I also don't feel comfortable with this.

I've been (wrongfully) maligned as a fount of negative energy by Sweet William, heir to Camelot, there on Avalon ... so I stayed away from Greenpeace matters as I've only a negative opinion of them (e.g. as I do all enviro groups funded by foundational grants and what not). I mean, can you blame me? The last thing I want to do is give creedence to Sweet William's opinion of me. That being said, now that someone else has brought it up, I tend to agree with teh opinion that Greenpeace is a front of the elites.
Following the money trail as always worked for me ... and I tells ya ... Greenpeace don't look all that up and up to me:

Just don't look right to me. Just like Noam Chomsky no longer looks right to me (was once a huge fan of his, until 9/11/2001 happened and he revealed his true colors and funding umbilicus).

ps: Humble opinions all around.
ps2: Oops ... forgot to add ... I don't think Greenpeace is all that big an issue in the post-9/11 reality ... so I'm not at all bothered by their presence on Nexus (tho' perhaps the sticky could pose problems in the way people interpret our stand on Greenpeace. The MOD group is not a monolithic lot and we do have our own opinions on things. Which is a good thing. <---------- keeps us all on the plane and away from the pyramid, as it were.

Well... Rich has always said to me...
GP is part of the corporate machine..but the "pleebs " at the bottom are just working hard like others to make a better world... Who else is climbing aboard artic oil rigs and making a stand for what is maybe the last pristine place on the planet.
He is just finishing the last of the time line (going up before the end of the day)..I mentioned this thread to him...and he will come make a post after.
I agree...that it should not be stickied...especialy without a disclaimer..
and yes maybe its own section is a good idea

.
geenpeace has things to clarify about their mission..
wonder what their statement on carbon taxes was/is? i don't think they made one - so they don't antagonise some of their funders i gather..
in my estimation greenpeace is a quiet helper of the power elites..
some of their generous doners love the wildlife, but apparently hate humanity..l

More to the point what is everyone going to do now if, as it appears may possibly be the case based on recent projections concerning solar output, that the earth may be entering a COLD period. Sort of undermines as least part of the premise for global warming/carbon tax eh? Wonder what the hue and cry will be now?!

Its no longer called 'Global Warming' Ank, it is now 'Climate Change' :)
P.s Is Green Peace a group of Green Eco Warriors or a multi million pound corporation?
The well intentioned get hijacked once again:shout:

"Can't waste a good crisis, etc." (clarification - I am not referring to GP as 'pirates', but rather those who hijack, etc.

I see these types of organizations as being just more controlled resistance. It's another energy funnel to take those types of people who care about the world and want to be involved in activism and lead them on another path to nowhere while indoctrinating them with the new greenwashing movement and how people are causing Global Warming and that we all need to reduce our carbon footprint, thus leading the way for Agenda 21 land/property grabs without eminent domain, the New World Religion based on Neo-Paganism, and a false united people based on a hybrid 1984/Brave New World populace controls such that we can all stop being bad humans and begin to "take care of" our planet/Mother Gaia.

I could not agree more.
I throw up just a just a little every time i see the name GreenPeace.
The Greenpeace of now is just controlled marketing nothing more, it saddens me to think of the willing participants working on behalf of the corporate elite but then perhaps its a stepping off point for those that have a desire to "Do something".

It's how the pyramidal structures always seem to work, the folks with the best intentions end up at at the bottom. One ends up serving an ideal, and they aren't actually serving what we thought we were serving.

Hi
A lot of valid points above, perhaps renaming the thread and adding a poll can provide us with a better use for the feed, if at all.
I personally have always appreciated the group. Corporate affiliations aside the individuals on the front lines have always had my respect.
Many want change but do little to effect it,
I personally enjoy reading their daily feed and find it provides information that is relevant and inline with this sites direction. GP released information about the high levels of radiation off the coast of Fukushima, they are currently going after the oil company Cairn. For me that's post worthy and if the feed gets voted off nexus i will go to their site to keep up with their missions.
NB, with your permission, i will edit the thread and add a poll to decide on this. cool?
