NC Govenor Hopes to Suspend Elections

The Govenor of North Carolina has suggested that we suspend the 2012 election for two years to give the economy a chance to recover. In the last election NC voted out a lot of incumbents in hopes of changing up the system. We have a republican legislature for the first time in 100 years. Perdue, unfortunately rode in on that wave of change.


NC governor recommends suspending democracy to focus on jobs

As a way to solve the national debt crisis, North Carolina Democratic Gov. Beverly Perdue recommends suspending congressional elections for the next couple of years.

?I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won?t hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover,? Perdue said at a rotary club event in Cary, N.C., according to the Raleigh News & Observer. ?I really hope that someone can agree with me on that.?

Suspension of elections , and disbelief ....

With all the circus and hoopla involved in elections,
and campaign diverging from the daily practicle politics ,
it is a worthy discussion to prolong the election periode
to 5 years (or something) on a permanent basis .

The OpeningPost suggestion seems to be a ploy to buy more time
( is it even possible within the constitution and regulations? )
Like getting Obama elected now also seems like a plot
from the ruling elite who controls the president to get more
time , to do what ...

I have been thinking that a female president would be next.
Another novelty, and change, to keep us cheering for "democracy"
and another "revolution" in American (USA) political life.
One more for the historybooks , after the first (openly) black one
in a supposedly mainly biggoted and rascist, white, culture ...

I hope Ronald E. Paul get the republican ticket for the last (or was it first ..).
presidency in the USA . And that he makes a better choice of partner
than John F. Kennedy did . ( or had to do )
