Coronation Street Ken Barlow actor William Roache in bizarre outburst

By ‘ECK… Coronation Street legend William Roache has gone Lancashire hot potty in a bizarre TV interview.

The 79-year-old actor, who plays Ken Barlow, told a stunned chat show host all humans will soon communicate by telepathy.

He predicted a series of earthquakes, ?hurricanes, floods and tsunamis – but claimed that these disaster would be necessary to disperse “negative energy”.

And the star, who has been a regular in the Street since the first episode in 1960, said of his dead wife Sara: “I’m absolutely thrilled to bits for her that she’s gone home.”

What level-headed Ken would have made of it all is anyone’s guess as Roache spilled out his oddest lines ever during his appearance Sky TV’s The Moore Show.

He told host Kevin Moore during the interview: “The Earth is a living being with consciousness and it has an understanding.

“And just like we can become enlightened and raise our vibrational level into a higher spiritual level, the Earth can also do the same and this is what is happening.”

Britain’s longest serving TV actor even went on to claim there was some truth in the latest doomsday date for the end of the world in a year’s time.

“This is what all the prophecies about 2012 are.

“Unfortunately there are some cleansings that will have to take place where negative energy has to be discharged and these will be in the form of earthquakes, hurricanes, floods and tsunamis,” said Roache.

“The doom and gloom, as they are saying, is that December 21st, 2012, is the end of the Earth. It isn’t, but it’s the change and the end of a lot of things as we know them.”

After 2012, according to Roache, everything will become as clear as a pint of Rovers bitter. And in a speech that would have surely seen heads being scratched at the famous bar, he said: “We’ll move into the golden age which will be a wonderful age where we’ll all love.

“We’ll communicate telepathically, we’ll all be aware of our spiritual selves, and it will be a beautiful place to be.

“It’s been happening really ever since day one but it’s been speeding up recently because it’s reaching its point when the actual ascension of the Earth will take place next year.

“A lot of people who are sensitive will be aware of it whereas some people will just be aware of all the awful things that are going on – but we need to look at all the bad things as a glorious process of birth. We’re going to be moving into this wonderful period where people will be more loving and more caring.”

Roache revealed his struggle to find happiness early on in his Coronation Street career was solved by a homeopathic doctor who was able to communicate with him while he slept.

“That guy was able to appear on the astral plane, and come into a dream and actually speak to me that way,” he said. “Nowadays spiritual things are more accepted and it’s going to keep getting bigger. But when I started, these things were very unusual and you had to be careful who you talked to. People would get hostile.”

Roache told Moore spiritualism helped him deal with the death of his 18-month-old daughter Edwina in 1983.

“I’ve had messages from Edwina saying her role in the spiritual realms is helping young babies who have gone over and are crying for their mummies,” said Roache.

“She is able to help children in the spirit realm.” He claimed it also helped him come to terms with the loss of his wife Sara, 58, in 2009. “I can celebrate and rejoice for Sara,” he said. “I am absolutely thrilled to bits for her that’s she’s gone home. I don’t worry about Sara as I know I will join her eventually.”

The full interview is on The Moore Show this Friday, 6pm on Sky Showcase.

I honestly wish the part about things getting better were true, because things are looking especially grim these days. I wish I could see my dead loved-ones again too. These are wishes. If they turn out to come true, cool. I'm not investing much expectation in them, nor am I deriving comfort. I'll try to love the best I can in the here and now. That's about all I know.

But good point; lots of famous people have wish-based belief systems and they are not ridiculed for them because they are considered more "reasonable".

Thanks for posting Manny.

The interesting thing is that some people will think he is mad but his character "Ken Barlow's" life over the years in the soap, as absolutely normal. :)

Ken,s 79 now,but has held this belief system for many years.
i think he has come out now, because he has nothing to lose.
also this may help many other people express themselves without the fear of ridicule.

Thanks Manny,

Don't know who he is as I never watched Coronation Street but I'm sure he is famous because of its long running history. So good on him for sharing his truth which I happen to resonate with as far as the after life goes :)

Ya know.. So many of these 'ascenders' are just lonely desperate and sensitive people who will believe anything, and thus become vulnerable to all kinds of crap.

But truthfully I have known for some time, most of my life actually, that SOMETHING is going on. I'm a very rational guy, but in the last 20 years I have discovered my trans-rational self. In these last few years, I have become SO much more sensitive to 'energies', that of people, places and situations. I can't describe what I mean. I can sense he speeding up of time. I have experienced so many of what are known as 'ascension' symptoms. The interesting thing about that is that I only noticed this after I learned that people i knew, at various points on the planet, were experiencing the same things at the same time as I was. It didn't make much sense, but it eventually seemed to.

I know that things are changing. I don't know to what end. I have no idea what will happen in a years time. It may be something huge and interesting or it may be just another day. But we are growing toward something. Maybe this increasing sensitivity will continue among people for many generations before there is any really noticeable outward change. But I also know that evolutionary leaps have been known to happen very quickly, some say almost instantly.

Maybe one of those leaps will in fact be that we become telepathic. Just think how quickly that would change the world. In addition to that sense, what if we become MUCH more sensitive to our.. well let's say the energy of out intentions. What if some time after that day it become almost impossible to go against what our highest self is telling us, or our highest choice, even if we may not yet consciously know what that is? Maybe one day you get up and go to that job you have hated for years, but the closer you get to that place, you get almost violently ill. You get farther away, you feel better. It becomes impossible to betray your truest nature. The thought of tearing someone a new one, feels physically revolting, so in the moment you spontaneously make a more evolved or loving choice, that feels absolutely beautiful. What if we quickly become much more FEELING beings. And with that comes telepathy, but not where you communicate silently with limited, linear language but with these kinds of feelings or feeling images or 'flavors' as I call them. How would the world change then?

Corrupt businessmen would be out of business over night because nobody would deal with them. It would be impossible to lie or steal from somebody because not only would that other person know and avoid you, but it would feel horrible to you to even think about it. Those seeking power could never be elected. It would hurt, I mean, physically hurt, to suppress an idea that would serve everybody like, free energy or cleaning technologies. Would there be a need for police or courts? Everybody would see right through psychopaths. Maybe they would even leave the planet because it would be impossible for them to live in it anymore. Violence would be impossible. UFC would vanish overnight.

Well, I have no idea. I'll just continue to follow that subtle but true voice within as it leads me to the exact right place for what I need and most want to experience. I just trust that I will know what I need to know at the perfect time. No need to study, no need to analyze or rationalize, it all instantly becomes clear and obvious.
