Attack on Iraq Premise REDUX

OK according to the mainstream babble box Hilary Clinton has demanded - just as the Republinuts demanded - that Iran prove that it is not seeking nuclear weapons......this brings back memories of the Bush II administration demanding that Saddam Hussein prove that Iraq DID NOT have weapons of mass destruction. Only one problem with this kind of a demand - it is a logical fallacy! It simply is not possible to prove or disprove such an assertion. How would have Saddam Hussein 'proved' Iraq DID NOT have WMD? By digging up every square inch of the country and down 100 feet? Impossible to prove. And so - the US and its 'coalition of the willing' went to war - supposedly because Saddam Hussein failed to satisfactorily prove to the US that Iraq did not have WMD! Now Hilary Clinton, not to be outdone by the irrational and immoral actions of the Bush II Administration, demands similarly that Iran PROVE that it is not after nuclear weapons. How would Iran possibly prove that? So it would appear that we are headed down that same old familiar road - and for the stupid and ignorant - well then I guess they can always tell themselves that Iran - the same as Iraq before it - just could not prove it was not headed down the road to nuclear weapons to quell their consciences!
