    Peace

Standstill, feel the wind on your cheeks, your eyes closed, the silence is in harmony with the sound of your heart beating slowly, regularly.

Peace seems to me, a state of being. Some of us seem to need or.. crave peace. Some do not believe it exists and that any semblance of it is just a lie or a trap

Perhaps some views on peace are based on personal desires/needs. Perhaps others views on peace are maybe based on more communal needs.

This seems to be the common view of peace...

Peace is a state of harmony characterized by the lack of violent conflict. Commonly understood as the absence of hostility, peace also suggests the existence of healthy or newly healed interpersonal or international relationships, prosperity in matters of social or economic welfare, the establishment of equality, and a working political order that serves the true interests of all. In international relations, peacetime is not only the absence of war or conflict, but also the presence of cultural and economic understanding .
Absence of hostility... how do two, or 100... find ways to not only release hostility already present , but not be confronted with it in the future?

For me, being indifferent offers me a state of being with near 0 hostility.

How do you deal with hostility?

Peace can lead many, to imagine many things..

I have shared this before, and enjoy sharing it again..

These projects move me to feel a need for communal peace. They fill me with hope and good will. I am sure there is much to be said about who Yoko is.. What John Lennon stood for. But the essence of peace, oozed freely from both of their spirits .

How can you , ooze this essense as well?

Do we need to stand open, and without resentement?

    What is peace?

Thank you for taking some time to ponder this with me.... as peace has been on my mind

    Re: Peace

i am looking forward to the time about 20 years out from now where the people are so interconnected trading with each other.. contries can't go to war on any destructive scale again ...

conflicts and difference get resolved without killing and destruction ..

children are born with a different mindset today than in history .. it is harder to feed them hatred than it was before.. yes you can find some .. but around the world the kidds are more aware that it's not them over there in the other countries that are responsible for their problems .. but those in control of the government.. the authorities they see ..

todays 20-30 year olds will be the parents of those expected to fight wars in 20 years .. most of them are in no shape to fight now or unwilling ..

look at Europe .. even with the troubles they have now .. it was ww2 when the last major wars happened in western europe ..and they pretty much battled each other every few years sense the fall of rome

forgiveness.jpg Probably easier said than done, but I think forgiveness brings peace - at least for the one who is doing the forgiving.

    Re: Peace

Peace for me is when I finished what i have promised myself or others to do. Rare moments "in between".
They can occur at any time. Blissful minutes or seconds when everything seems to stand still.
I had one last night (morning). I get insomnia in periods and at about 4 am I was standing in the kitchen window and this peace came over me. But they sometimes come even in middle of chaos. Peculiar but wonderful.
