On May 20th 2012 our moon, sun, and the pleiades will align, and if an "authority" tells you it's dangerous to watch this event I would recommend believing the opposite, sun-gazing in general is beneficial at sunrise/sunset, so with the moon blocking significant parts of the sun on May 20 it wouldn't likely be any more "dangerous" than sun-gazing ~ ONE LOVE
