ooh ooh, i know i know the one on zero-point...

matter and anti-matter must balance universally or very bad things happen...so, the greater the vacuum the greater the level of zero point energy present...you see, it does balance into a constant. The trick is to unbalance the vacuum and squeeze out some juice. it requires reactions at the quantum level for it to be practical (i.e. nano-technology or at least the smaller the reactive devices the better)

the other two questions i would consider great starting points for solving intractable conundrums.
