    Navy Drone Crashes in Maryland

I saw this on CNN. I am thinking it will probably become a regular occurrence.

CNN) -- A U.S. Navy drone crashed Monday in marshy area near Salisbury, Maryland, military officials said.

The unmanned RQ-4A Global Hawk drone went down during a routine training flight from Naval Air Station Patuxent River, according to Jamie Cosgrove, a spokeswoman for the Unmanned Aviation and Strike Weapons Program at the base.

The drone crashed into a tributary of the Nanticoke River, according a U.S. Coast Guard official. The crash site has been blocked to recreational boat traffic while the agency investigates, according to the Coast Guard official.

I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see. Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me! ~Dr. Seuss

From what I gather from the news reports, it seems that they are being mass produced quickly. That, in my mind, leaves room for error. There have been reports of crashes in the Middle East. I don't know how many are actually in operation, but it just seems logical that the more they have flying around, the more crashes there will be. They are also a relatively new technology that is constantly being upgraded, so that to me seems to be like a constant work in progress that will have malfunctions... not to mention humans making mistakes while learning to fly these things remotely. I could be wrong. Time will tell, I guess.
