Looks interesting Robert! Where did you find the download? I've downloaded it and just had time for the first few pages so far. At one point it says that it was "channeled". Do you know anything about the process -- if it did, in fact, come thru a channeler?

This was channeled by Marshall Vian Summers. I met Marshall not long after he channeled this and got to read it before it was published in book form more than a decade ago. There was also a book 2, and just this year book 3 in ebook form, which I haven't read yet. It is different from his many other channeled books which are mostly spiritual teachings from spiritual sources. The Allies books are different in that Marshall's spiritual contacts facilitated communication with physical ET's, who claim to be benevolent allies of humanity. The Allies' message is that ET's in general are neither angels nor demons and that life in our galaxy is quite complex and challenging. To be successful as a species in that environment Earth humans need to mature quickly. The steps needed to mature had already been given in Marshall's previous books.

But doesn't he claim in this book (1st) that the messengers are 'angelic' beings...a.k.a. the Unseen Ones? I believe Summers' foundation is built on some manner of fundamentalism and is looking to turn the innocent away from New Ageism. His biography prior to his 'emergence' is very very sketchy.

He seemed genuine and sincere. He's very committed to his work, which by now spans many years and many volumes. I benefited from his earlier books, and still consider them to be some of the best spiritual literature. They contain universal truths that can be found elsewhere but the perspective is unique in my experience.

The Allies books are quite different from the others, which makes sense, since the source is different. Although I found them to be very interesting and mind opening, I decided not to dwell on the perspective the Allies promoted, for the most part. It may or may not be entirely valid -- I don't know -- but I've come to believe that there is more than one valid perspective, or lens for viewing reality. The Allies' perspective only partially resonates with me, but I am glad I was exposed to it. It is worthwhile to consider.

I visited Marshall twice in Boulder and met him a few times on the road, when he was promoting his books and giving talks. My impression was that he is so dedicated to his work, and surrounded by very devoted supporters, that he is somewhat isolated, and therefore his perspective is somewhat limited, but perhaps because of that, very unique.

To answer your question, Kristen, yes, the message does include a prediction of drastic change for humanity in the relatively near future that is both a crisis and an opportunity for emergence as a species into galactic civilization.

It's been a long time since I read it, but I believe that the Unseen Ones are spiritual beings who are acting as intermediaries to form a communication channel between Marshall and a group of physical ET's located in a spacecraft somewhere in the Solar System. The message in the book is from the ET's, and the Unseen ones are facilitating the transmission and vouching for the integrity of the ET's.

In signing off for the book Summers says he has come to spread this message. To each their own, but everything channeled could have been put down on 5 pages rather than 200 and consequently saved the readers much pain, anguish and boredom (I know it isn't incumbent on spiritual travelers to be entertaining but yeeoouch).

Personally I tend to be very skeptical of anything 'channeled'. The fact is that you never know -- altho there ARE some very good channelers who actually DO really connect with good beings, my sense is that they're not the majority of channelers. It's very difficult for anyone to detect if they're being fooled by lower energy beings hanging around in the astral plane. Even people with the best intentions can be fooled.

That being said, I personally feel that there ARE et allies. I still haven't had the chance to read this yet, but I will.

it never hurts to read anything but you can trust me on this...his channelings are the bottom of the barrel...i'm not a good writer, nor have i ever channeled beyond surfing with my remote control...but i could have done a better con job.

i really mean no offense to anyone but this stuff was terrible at any level...it might be useful for an extremely neurotic 8th grader but i doubt it.

Healthy skepticism is not only admirable, but essential when evaluating channeled information. However, I am now equally skeptical of information from any source, including even my own senses. I try to give each one of the bits of information that enters my consciousness equal discernment.

That's all that they are: bits of information. When it comes to text, I consider anything I read to be just combinations of letters, like letter magnets arranged on a refrigerator. The trick is to extract meaning from the flow of information that impinges on our consciousness. What I've found is that meaning comes from another aspect of consciousness besides the one that processes information from the senses, and it operates in a different way.

I value things that I read based on whether they result in an increase of meaning, even if indirectly or unintentionally on the part of the author. One way this happens is when an alternate perspective is introduced, that I may never have considered, which results in my consciousness being focused in a new direction. From there, I let my intuition take over to extract meaning from the new perspective. The Allies of Humanity material was valuable to me in this sense, regardless of whether the information is valid.

My sense is that there is sincerity in this body of information, but that its perspective is limited, yet useful for some people to some degree. In the end, it is simply a motivational tool to convince people who still worry about temporal affairs to get focused on their spiritual growth. Some may benefit from this prod, some won't and others already have a different motivation.

Hi Alienhunter. Yes, I got this sense too. Not gonna read it all, but it offers some things that ring true with me. Bottom line is that life -- and exploring life's deeper mysteries -- requires alot of discernment.
