Bournemouth resident mystified by 'blue sphere shower'

A man in Dorset has been left mystified after tiny blue spheres fell from the sky into his garden.

Steve Hornsby from Bournemouth said the 3cm diameter balls came raining down late on Thursday afternoon during a hail storm.

He found about a dozen of the balls in his garden. He said: "[They're] difficult to pick up, I had to get a spoon and flick them into a jam jar."

The Met Office said the jelly-like substance was "not meteorological".

Mr Hornsby, a former aircraft engineer, said: "The sky went a really dark yellow colour.

"As I walked outside to go to the garage there was an instant hail storm for a few seconds and I thought, 'what's that in the grass'?"

Re: Bournemouth resident mystified by 'blue sphere shower'

Things like this and frogs etc falling from the sky used to mystify me as a child. Then I learnt about the Tiamat theory or the destroyed planet theory. It explains a few things, such as where all the excess water came from in the deluge as well as where all these fish and frogs and blobs of goo come from. They could have been floating through space in blocks of ice for who knows how long, until our gravity pulls them in, the friction in the atmosphere melts the ice and we're left with the contents raining down.

Most of our sea life could have arrived here in the same way.

Harmony is the highest natural state, so anyone opposing it must fail.

Though I do have my first few grey beard hairs, I'm not quite White Gandalf, yet.
