A thread on Magical Art
Once in a while we are touched by a piece of art, a song, a painting, a movie,... Have you ever been teletransported into another dimension by a wonderfull, magical piece of art? A thread to post your favorite work of art and what it did to you.

Manuscripts of the 15th century Aurora consurgens, sometimes attributed to Thomas Aquinas, often contain a series of 38 fine watercolour drawings. Versions of the Aurora consurgens with coloured illustrations are found in Glasgow University Library MS. Ferguson 6; Zurich Zentralbibliothek, MS. Rhenoviensis 172; Leiden, MS. Gustave Dor?'s Inferno. The image is an illustration taken from an 1885 French edition of Dante's Divine Comedy. The original engraving is in the Bibliotheque des Arts Decoratifs in Paris.
