Cheryl M. Paternoster

IRON MOUNTAIN – Cheryl M. Paternoster, 56, of Iron Mountain, died Friday evening July 1, 2022 at Christian Park Healthcare Center in Escanaba.

She was born September 3, 1965 in Iron Mountain, the daughter of Norman and Jaqueline (Konstad) Paternoster Sr. Cheryl grew up in Iron Mountain and attended DCCS Special Education School. Cheryl struggled with physical, mental and emotional barriers from birth, but was a strong willed person who guaranteed to “leave a mark” on a person’s heart and soul.

She loved all things purple, her doll collection, her watch collection, and was happy to acquire any jewelry you might wear. Cheryl was a gift from God to the family and everyone she came in contact with. May she rest in eternal peace with her loved ones.

Cheryl is survived by her brothers, Norman (Marie) Paternoster Jr. of Sparta, Michigan, and Richard (Amanda) Paternoster of Illinois; aunts and uncles, Pat and Jim Neuens of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Sue and Steve Mikolajczyk of Vulcan, and Mary and Bill Cook of Escanaba; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins ​​and special caregivers and friends at Belgium Point Assisted Living in Norway.

In addition to her parents, Cheryl was predeceased by her sister, Kay Marie; and grandparents, Frances and Jack Konstad, and Frida and Oliver Paternoster.

Private family funeral services will be held at Iron Mountain Cemetery Park with Father Janusz Romanek officiating. Anderson Funeral Homes in Escanaba and Gladstone are helping the family and online memories can be shared at
