Resurrection Christian 57, Jefferson Academy 42, Loveland: Resurrection Christian returned from the break with a solid non-league win, dropping to 5-2 on aggregate. Sophomore Mackenzie Flikkema led the Cougars with 19 points, seven rebounds, three steals and two assists. Senior Taylor Wright had 11 points, 14 rebounds and five assists.
Boys basketball
Highland 70, Heritage Christian 57, in Ault: The two-week break did nothing to slow Highland’s searing offense, as the Huskies improved to 6-1 overall, 1-0 in the 3A / 2A / 1A Mile High League class. Sophomore Carson Steinke led a balanced Highlands offense with 17 points on 6 of 11 shots with six rebounds, three assists and three steals. Freshman Sawyer Morgan had eight points, nine rebounds, six assists and three steals.
Union Colony Prep 50, Twin Peaks Charter 24, at Longmont: Union Colony improved to 3-3 and opened their 3A / 2A / 1A Mile High League schedule with a dominant victory. The Timberwolves outscored Twin Peaks 35-16 in the first and fourth combined quarters.
Riverdale Ridge 64, Platte Valley 38, in Kersey: Platte Valley suffered only its second loss of the season, falling to 5-2. Juniors Zach Uyemura and Cambren Mundell led the Broncos with 12 and 11 points, respectively. Mundell also had 14 rebounds and four steals. Freshman Talyn Short had 11 rebounds and nine assists.
Lyon 77, Dayspring Christian 67, in Lyon: Dayspring fell in their first comeback from the winter break, falling to 2-3 this season, 0-1 in 3A / 2A / 1A Mile High League.
Erie 68, Fort Lupton 38, to Erie: Fort Lupton lost a non-league game in their first action back from the winter break. The Bluedevils led 16-15 in the first quarter before losing 13-5 in the second and 53-22 in the final three quarters. Fort Lupton fell to 3-4 overall.

Platte Valley 62, Riverdale Ridge 36, in Thornton: Platte Valley opened the second part of their season with another dominant non-league win, dropping to 8-0. The Broncos led 22-7 after a quarter and 40-14 at halftime. Senior Brooke Bunting led a balanced Platte Valley team with 18 points on 8 of 10 shots with five rebounds, five assists and four steals. Junior Bree Bunting has 14 points and a career-high 13 rebounds.
Dayspring Christian 65, Lyon 14, in Lyon: Dayspring continued to roll in the 3A / 2A / 1A Mile High League game, improving to 3-2 overall, 3-0 in the league. The Eagles took a 30-2 lead in the first quarter, increasing to 49-8 at halftime.
Girls swimming and diving
Fossil Ridge 106, Windsor 79, at Windsor: Windsor opened the second stanza of his season with a tall order. Fossil Ridge won 10 of 12 individual events. Wizards eldest Megan Dodrill won the 500-yard freestyle in 5: 34.87. The Windsor 200 freestyle team also placed first (1: 49.09).
